The rock I have been hiding under for the past couple of months must have been very comfortable in order for to miss news that Writely has been acquired by Google.
It looks as though new users may end up waiting until July for an account, unless you know someone who already has an account. I’m suddenly very glad I signed up for my account when I did, I feel like part of the elite. By the way, if anyone would like a Writely invite, drop me an e-mail - please, don’t forget to include your e-mail address. I’ll update this page when I run out.
(In case you’re wondering, Writely is an online word processor that can be used for blogging, collaboration, writing in general, and document storage. What makes Writely so wonderful is that it’s pretty much an online version of Word that you can access anywhere as long as you have a browser.)
