Most of the feedback I’ve received so far about the WordPress Data Feed Import software has been very good, but at least 25% of the customers have written to ask or suggest that I limit the number of scripts that I make available.
Apparently, this is something that my customers don’t want it the hands of everyone under the sun. Very understandable, considering I didn’t plan to release the script at all.
This has been weighing on my mind a lot lately. I really want as many people to benefit from this product as possible and I love to hear success stories from customers.
It’s something I use myself and believe it could help quite a few people leverage the amount of time they spend actually building affiliate websites.
On the other hand, I certainly don’t want to create too much competition for myself or the other customers. There is a fine line between a healthy amount of competition and oversaturation.
My mind has pretty much been made up and I will be limiting the number of licenses I make available, but now it’s about finding that magic number. Maybe I should consult with my customers and see what they believe a fair number would be.
I know that poll will probably be skewed, but I’ll just take the average from all the responses. But, once this decision has been finalized, then I can truly start preparing for the launch process.
