It’s amazing just how awesome people can be. I sent out my request not too long after I finished publishing my decision and the response has been great so far.
Some customers wrote in with their numbers, some wrote in with helpful advice, some told me that I had already sold enough (and it hasn’t even been released yet), and others wrote in with jovial comments. It was certainly a welcome surprise.
Reading through some of the e-mails warmed my heart so much, it boosted my spirits. Most notably, Laura Childs, offered me not only inspiration, but a few quick doses of reality.
Sherman Hu also offered another great perspective. They both, basically, reminded me to always keep my options open and that’s what I intend to do.
For now, the number of scripts I sell hinges on just a few more e-mails. Once they’re received, I will take the average and see if it’s a number I feel comfortable with before making the final decision.
