I never said it wasn’t a great tool for affiliates, simply that it inserts a link to its website (free advertising) and that you can get pretty much the same thing for free by downloading the CB Ads Genie instead.

What would make this an even better tool for affiliates would be removing the link at the bottom of each ad box or, at least, allowing the affiliates to insert their own affiliate ID so they can earn a kickback if someone should click through and grab the script for herself.

As for eBay rolling out something similar, there are already a number of tools which do this. A simple Google search will yield a number of results. If they do decide to make it available within the affiliate management as a default, all the better.

That is actually a great tool for affiliates. I did read somewhere that Ebay is also in plans to making a similar tool for their affiliates. And I think it will be good.

I was thinking the same thing about Google AdSense, Stephanie. It would be great if Google did insert our affiliate links in there so we could gain any credit for traffic sent from our sites. Of course, I believe that’s wishful thinking on our part…however, it would be possible to do so for the two products above.

Thanks for the review. I heard of that product and was a little curious, but not really enough so to buy it. I definitely wouldn’t want to have someone else’s link on my site. Matter of fact, I wish Google would make the Ads by Google link be an affiliate one too.
