Recently announced, Text Link Ads has come out with a text link ad calculator. The calculator is designed to provide an overview of the monthly cost of a text link on your website, or it can be used by prospective link buyers to see if they’re being taken for a ride.

The problem I found with the Text Link Ads tool is that is uses some magic to come up with some values that do not seem to make a lot of sense when people consider how much they expect to make from the links. Is a link on Yahoo really worth over $7,000? I wouldn’t pay it. It takes a little more work, but a better tool for calculating the value of a link on a website is located at http://churchwebsitedesign.timothyfish.net/Article.asp?ID=45.

There are some mixed feeling with this one.
I also believe the Text Link Ads Calculator to be some what incorrect, but it is only a guide.
I like the idea behind the Text Link Ads business. If it does turn out to be as good as they say, it will be good for all web site owners, and web masters alike.
Links management is a pain and I for one could do with better ways to keep the search engines happy.
Sincerely,
John Adams
