It’s been brought to my attention that I’ve been very quiet here lately and there hasn’t been any updates on the 31 Themes project. Well, consider this an update.
The process has already begun, and I’m learning quite a bit about myself, my work habits, and my design style through it. I deliberately decided not to publicize the link (a completely new website was started) because there are still some things I’d like to do with the new site and I want to hold a contest. The details of the contest haven’t yet been worked out, though. It’s on the to-do list
.
Wrapping up, the new site, along with all 31 themes, will be revealed before the month of August is out when the contest is over. When all is said and done, I plan to write about the experience and what I learned during the process. You know, the problems, the hair-pulling moments, and the fun bits, too.

Today’s August 18…so you have 18 themes ready?
I hope this project is going well for you. It will be interesting to see the new designs. Will you be releasing them all at once, or one at a time?

Hi Sandra,
Yes, the project is going well for me, though tiring. As I mentioned in the 31 themes entry, I cheated; I began planning out the designs, and I also had the forethought to create the core WP theme files that all the themes will use. Meaning, they all have the same functionality, but will look different.
As times goes on, and the more popular themes rise to the top, then I may modify their core files. More on that when I complete my write up when all is said and done.
I will be releasing them together, however, will be promoting them separately.
Back to theming I go…
