A very long journey is about to begin on August 1, 2006; the journey to release 31 new WordPress themes to the public.
I thought long and hard about this decision, and the pros outweighed the cons. Designing all of these themes will allow me to get back to something fun.
Lately, my creative design skills have been getting rusty because I focus a lot of my attention on client pursuits. 31 themes in 31 days will allow me to dig out some ideas that have been sitting dormant in the back of my mind for a while. And, oddly enough, I won’t feel the same pressure I feel to design for clients or customers.
This is going to be a purely fun project for me. Not to mention, it will also be helping to launch a new site and help out 31 of my customers.
My excitement is hard to contain. I’ve already cheated by starting some of the themes early. Though the theme layouts are crafted, I won’t release them until August. Man it’s going to be hard to wait. 
In time, all will be revealed (including the new site).
Sounds like a great plan! If I’ll ever be lucky enough to have enough money to not work for a month, I might do something similar
(I’ll start cheating already - that way I may have 31 ready by that time - not within the next year or so at least

As I wipe the sweat from my brow, I proudly proclaim that the move to a new site is done - well, as done as a website actually is. I plan to make a number of updates, add features, and other sections over time, but all the themes are live and ready for download. (In fact, many of them already have been downloaded.)
What’s the link? I hear you all collectively ask.
Well, ah, that’s still a secret, sort of. I’m holding a scavenger hunt for my OptiNiche newsletter subscribers and by revealing the link it will also reveal the answer.
